Bardo Thodol, named after the Tibetan “Book of the Dead”, was founded in 2022 by vocalist Ginevra De Giusti (Hands of Orlac), guitarist Peter Svensson (Void Moon, Assassin’s Blade), and drummer Scott Naylor (Iron Void). Their sound fuses Italian horror metal and Swedish doom inside a heavy metal framework, heavy riffs sprinkled with ominous keyboard melodies are backed by intricate yet powerful drums.

After the sold-out demo cassette “Demon Unleashed”, Bardo Thodol set out to record their first full-length. The result is “Sumerian Tragedy”, featuring 10 tracks from a pool of 13 recorded songs, with three reserved as potential bonus tracks
