Blaudzun surprised his fans and followers last night by dropping 'Jupiter', the title song for his new album due to release October 7th.
A few weeks ago Blaudzun announced Fall and Winter dates in Benelux, Germany and Switzerland. Social media followers might have noticed some footage from studio-work-in-progress and audio snippets earlier last month. 'Jupiter' is the first full track which is available now on download platforms and streaming media.
During Summer Blaudzun will be working on a video for the first official single. This single will be released before the Dutch indie singer and his band hit the stages, kicking off with a series of four unique and sold out première shows in EKKO, Utrecht. First leg of his tour contains more than 25 shows until the end of this year, playing venues in cities like Amsterdam, Brussels, Zürich, Berlin, Munich and Hamburg. Check blaudzun.com for a full overview of tourdates.
The cover art of 'Jupiter' is made by Alvaro Tapia Hidalgo, a graphic designer and illustrator from Chile. He is known for his work for The New Yorker, Washington Post and Rolling Stone Magazine, among others.
