French post-punk band chest. shares last single ‘Blood On Your Doorstep’ taken from All Good Things End their debut EP, set to be released on 28th February, 2025 via French indie label Howlin’ Banana Records. The 6-track EP will include previous singles ‘Self Sabotage’ and ‘Aceta’.
chest. are a combination of three sound engineers, a pedal player, and an Englishman who likes to shout into a microphone. The band embodies a raw and uncompromising vision of post-punk. Their music blends sharp electric guitars, intense and danceable rhythms, and a powerful voice, creating an explosive yet introspective atmosphere. chest. stands out with a lyrical yet minimalist writing style, exploring themes of alienation, regret, and doubt in a poignant way. Rather than simply reviving a past musical era, chest. aims to renew the genre by injecting it with fresh, striking energy—both dark and liberating.
Their live performances are big cathartic parties where everyone is invited to dance, mosh and sing. They have already supported acts such as Heavy Lungs, The 113, KNIVES and Naked Lungs and played a couple of shows in Dublin. chest. will be playing the Misty Fields Festival in the Netherlands in September. In February/March chest. will be the support act for DITZ in Lyon, Paris and Lille.

chest. explains: '‘Blood on your Doorstep is a song that speaks about the gap between the rich and the poor. It tackles the idea that we are all guilty of having "normalized" the existence of extreme poverty that surrounds us daily, to the point where we barely even notice it anymore. Marked by intense moments of violence, the song reflects the harsh reality faced by those who live in poverty every day."
