As UK Garage continues to gain traction across the U.S., best-friend duo Crumb Pit returns with “Heart Already Broken,” a moody and melodic track featuring vocals from rising artist Amanda Joy. Set to release on June 20 via Dim Mak, the song blends warm bass, crisp drums, and emotive songwriting to connect underground groove with raw, relatable storytelling.
Marking their third consecutive single with Dim Mak, “Heart Already Broken” builds on Crumb Pit’s momentum while showcasing their evolving sound. The track follows their previous collaboration with Amanda Joy, the ethereal drum & bass release “Don’t Let Me Sleep” (Dec 2024), and transitions into a more sentimental, vocal-driven space.
“I wrote this after realizing something I had was broken and it couldn't break anymore—or be repaired either,” shares Amanda Joy. “It was purely out of emotion and I never planned to release it, but when Joe & Matt asked for some vox ideas, I sent it to them without hesitation or expectations.”
When Amanda sent me the demo, I knew we had something special,” adds Joe. “It was so much fun to chop the vocals and let her voice shine.
Matt adds: “It was exciting to step out of our comfort zone and make something more lyrically centered and sentimental. This track hints at some new styles we’re exploring, and we’re super excited to share that with the world.”
Crumb Pit is the dynamic duo of producer Matt Barri and UK-born rapper Jorlov, blending UKG, D&B, and trap into a fresh, hybrid bass sound. After meeting at Icon Music School, they debuted in 2023 and quickly gained momentum with releases on Space Yacht, Monta, and a new multi-record deal with Dim Mak. Known for their high-energy sets and sharp songwriting, the pair combines Jorlov’s UK-influenced vocal flow with Barri’s polished, genre-blending production. With a tour in the U.S. and Canada underway and their festival debut at Elements Festival on the horizon, Crumb Pit is rapidly emerging as one of bass music’s most exciting new acts.
