In late September, the Danish electro death metallers LIGHTCHAPTER released their second album Where All Hope Begins, which has been well received at home and abroad by critics and not least the metal audience. Today the band is sharing a brand new music video for the album’s title track, which has been created in collaboration with M2 Film Aarhus.

Also, the band can announce that they will be performing at next year’s Copenhell festival in Copenhagen, Denmark, which will be the band’s biggest show to date. Besides the upcoming show at Copenhell, LIGHTCHAPTER will be playing at Mono Goes Metal in their hometown Aarhus tomorrow, and more concerts are on the way. Frontman, guitarist, and vocalist Mikkel Ottosen says about the new video and the Copenhell show:

"Where All Hope Begins" captures the essence of the album: a desire for a fresh start and the courage to leap into the future with clarity and a will for change.
We look forward to presenting our new material at concerts in the coming year, and especially to our performance at Copenhell 2026 – a booking we are very proud of!”

LIGHTCHAPTER’s sophomore album Where All Hope Begins is a striking showcase of the band’s fusion of brutal death metal riffs and 80s-inspired synth soundscapes – delivering a raw, cinematic, and relentless electro-death assault. The album artwork was created by the band’s own Mikkel Ottosen and features the solemn Todes figures by world-renowned sculptor Christian Lemmerz, who has granted the band a rare permission to use them.

Formed in Jutland, Denmark, in 2020, LIGHTCHAPTER consists of four experienced metal musicians with backgrounds in The Burning, Diamond Drive, The Hive Mind, and The Silent Low. From the outset, the band sought to carve out its own identity within modern death metal, blending groovy metal with '80s synths and drum machines—a style they have dubbed "Electro Death Metal."

Following a few initial singles in 2020, LIGHTCHAPTER released their 2022 EP It All Ends Tonight, which, along with their 2023 debut album Time To Obey, firmly put them on the map. The album’s release was followed by a Denmark tour, showcases in Germany, and performances at festivals such as SPOT, Uhørt, Aalborg Metal Festival, and Copenhagen Metal Fest, all solidifying their reputation as a powerful live act.

LIGHTCHAPTER is ready with its second album ‘Where All Hope Begins’. With its fusion of groovy death metal and synth-heavy 80s cinematic vibes, the album delivers a powerful soundtrack to deeply personal yet universally relatable themes: desperation, anger, revenge — but also the belief that hope remains for us all.
