On the eve of Halloween, Barcelona thrashy black/death quartet Emissary has unveiled the video for “At the Throne of Chaos” as the first glimpse into their debut LP, Eldritch, scheduled for early 2025 via German label Fetzner Death Records. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's The Dreams in the Witch House (1932), this track captures the essence of a hellish Sabbat in Arkham, where entities reign and the dusk heralds the impending chaos.
Of the track, Emissary States:
“This was April 30th, and with the dusk would come the hellish Sabbat-time, which all the foreigners and the superstitious old folk feared. It was always a very bad time in Arkham.
“A tale of madness, superstition, and black magic, ‘At the Throne of Chaos’ is merely a first taste of the wonders, horrors, and awe that dwell within our upcoming first full-length!
“Heed The Emissary!”

Conjured by Michel Regueiro (The Evil Dead, Wicked Leather) and Hlib Overchuk in 2023, Emissary transports cosmic horror nightmares through primitive sonic channels. The Spanish act draws from decades-old forces — thrash, death, black, and traditional metal — weaving them into a dark tapestry that tells tales drenched in madness and existential terror.
In March 2024, Emissary entered Capricorn Studios to record two songs under the helm of Jaume Perna. These tracks were later mixed and mastered by Javier Felez at the revered Moontower Studios.
In April 2024, Phillip Graves (Redshark, Inverted Cross) joined Emissary as a guitarist. As a trio, they began crafting their debut album, Eldritch, and later got signed to the German label Fetzner Death Records.
With the album Eldritch on the way, Emissary is ready to tour across Europe and beyond
