Copenhagen trio Farveblind have enlisted K.Flay for new single 'Things' - a snarling electro-punk dispatch lifted from their highly anticipated debut album 'Micro Pleasures', out 15th May.

'Things' interrogates the allure of consumerism, guided by K.Flay's effortless cool deadpan delivery: "Use it, lose it, find it buy it / Then repeat the process / Funny how the price tag isn’t really what the cost is".

Speaking on the release of the song, K.Flay said:

""Things" is an exploration of how accumulation breeds greed, possessiveness. It's strange how once you own something, you often become territorial, selfish about it. You may believe you have a right to the thing, a right that differentiates you from others who don't have the thing. The whole phenomenon is fairly monstrous, fairly disturbing. This track embodies that feeling of unease I think, that monstrous sense. I loved working with the guys on this, trading ideas back and forth, honing in on the essence of it."

Produced by Farveblind and mixed by Gustav Brunn (Yung Lean, Viagra Boys), Farveblind's debut album features contributors including Django Django, K.flay, Elliphant, USERS, Foreign Air and Emmeline.

With sonic touchstones ranging from Battles and The Chemical Brothers to Underworld and Viagra Boys, 'Micro Pleasures' pulls together punk volatility, industrial precision, rave nostalgia and widescreen electronic drama into the same gravitational field - carving out moments of euphoria in a culture clouded by apathy, burnout and greed.

'Things' follows previous singles including the pounding title track 'Micro Pleasures', the shadowy Emmeline-featuring 'Natural Behaviour', the acid-techno critique 'Salary Man' (with USERS), and the feverish 'Battle Lady-Like' with Foreign Air.

The Danish trio have been quietly building toward this moment in recent years, with a run of EPs and singles already under their belts. The collaborators on 'Micro Pleasures' reflect relationships built over years of touring and shared scenes. Farveblind approach collaboration not as guest features, but as creative collisions - building what they describe as a “sandbox” where artists can step outside their usual lanes without losing the album’s centre of gravity.

On the forthcoming album, Farveblind said:

"'Micro Pleasures' is an ode to the small glimpses of happiness you find in the otherwise oppressive mundanity of modern life. It explores how fleeting everyday joys can act as both coping mechanisms and subtle forms of resistance. The album is a collage of work with a lot of very exciting people. It allowed us to tap into genres and energies that wouldn't have been otherwise unavailable to us."

Blurring the line between live punk chaos and club ecstasy, dismantling the barrier between stage and audience, Farveblind’s performances have lit up festivals including Roskilde, Reeperbahn and Eurosonic in recent months along with EU/UK tour dates with ROMES, earning them a reputation as one of Europe’s most vital new live acts. With the release of their debut album, the trio step forward as one of the most compelling forces emerging from Copenhagen’s electronic underground.

Farveblind’s debut album 'Micro Pleasures' is out 15th May. New single 'Things' (feat. K.Flay) is out now.
