Brighton trio Gaffa Tape Sandy are pleased to reveal their new single ‘Body In The Water’, set for release on 5th September 2024 via all good digital service providers.
The track is the final single to be taken from their new album Hold My hand, God Damn It which was released earlier this year via Alcopop! Records, hitting #64 in the Official UK Charts Physical Album Chart.
Commenting on the single, vocalist/guitarist Kim Jarvis says: “Gaffa Tape Sandy love a happy sounding sad song…’Body in The Water’ is about trauma bonding; the deep childlike need for a person who you’ve suffered and bled with, but it’s disguised as a celebratory dance and singalong.”
Following on from album track ‘Split’ in late 2023, lead single ‘Scrapbook’, and follow ups ‘Dead To Me’ and ‘Energy’ released earlier this year, the band’s new material has so far picked up radio support from BBC 6music, BBC introducing, John Kennedy at Radio X, Total Rock, Amazing Radio, and more, with the trio welcomed enthusiastically back by alternative tastemakers at 101 Part Time Jobs, Noizze, The Punk Site, Bring The Noise UK and more, plus Spotify editorial support on the All New Punk and The Punk List playlists.
Following a packed summer of festival slots and in-store appearances at record shops up and down the country, the band will play an extensive run of September/October 2024 UK headline tour dates later this year, with tickets on sale now (see below for listings).
