Acclaimed songstress HALIENE reveals her debut album, HEAVENLY, is arriving on August 26th on the legendary Black Hole Recordings. Her groundbreaking body of work pays homage to her roots in the worlds of both trance and melodic dubstep in a poetic, narrative journey. As a sample of what to expect musically from the album, HALIENE releases her beautifully vulnerable single “Underneath My Skin”.
In Underneath My Skin, HALIENE’s vocals soar on a gorgeous progressive melody, supported by pulsing trance synths, live strings, and melodic bass rhythms. Her lyrics explore the contrast between the superficial and the profound, revealing the connections that exist between us beneath the surface.
HALIENE explains; "In a world where we are confronted by skin-deep reality everywhere we go, from the people we meet to the device screens we interact with, this song pulls the listener deeper beneath that. This is the story of that impetus to take us from digital to spiritual to find our intuition, our connection, and our divinity. It could be a human relationship that finally breaks the skin of these fleeting surfaces, a spiritual experience, or sometimes just a breath – that expands us outward from the inside to find peace, and unconditional love, letting go of judgment of ourselves and others. In this song, we follow that guide into those moments of complete surrender, when we’re not thinking, into the energy and truth that creates and moves through us."
With A-list features and collaborations with dance music giants such as Armin Van Buuren, Illenium, Excision, and Seven Lions, HALIENE is now breaking ground in the EDM world as a solo artist. HEAVENLY comes alongside her second headlining tour of the year, with over a dozen major city dates announced, including five across Australia for Festival X.
