- “In short, you need this band in your life” – NME
- “A darkly powerful, heavy riffing rawk band” – Total Guitar
- “There’s so much excitement around the band. Its raw, original and powerful stuff” – Rock Shot
Bloodfeather is taken from the band’s Grammy nominated debut album, Mister Asylum, which was produced by Joel Hamilton (Black Keys, Elvis Costello). The album received acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone, NME, Entertainment Weekly, Billboard and FADER upon release and is inspired by experiences of chemically-soaked nights, hazier mornings, broken relationships and cathartic realizations.
On the origins of Bloodfeather, lead singer and guitarist Johnny Stevens comments, “When I was writing the song, I was actually thinking more along a James Bond theme. But then I read a really great Western called ‘Anything For Billy’ by Larry McMurty and we decided to go all Tarantino on the song.”
