When opening up about the project, jazzygold stated “I’ve poured my heart and soul into this EP. It’s been a long journey filled with growth, challenges, and self-discovery, and these songs are my way of putting words and music to everything I’ve experienced. Each track holds a piece of my story - moments of doubt, strength, and transformation. My hope is that people can not only hear my journey but also see themselves in the music, connecting with the emotions in their own way. Music has always been a mirror for me, and I hope this EP can be that for others too.”

As a woman of colour from the Faroe Islands, jazzygold embarked on her musical project to provide a mirror for young girls like her, both in her country and worldwide. Growing up, she lacked role models who looked like her in the music industry, and she’s now committed in changing the narrative. She’s determined to be that beacon of inspiration, proving that no matter where you come from, you can achieve greatness.

jazzygold is the artist project of Jasmin Mote. Her unique blend of RnB and soulpop is unmistakable, characterized by her candid lyrics, soulful voice, and captivating visuals. Her music is honest, and that authenticity shines through in her voice, lyrics, and sound.

Since announcing her solo project in January 2023, jazzygold has been unstoppable. She debuted at the Trondheim Calling showcase festival in Norway just a month later and has since performed at numerous prestigious events. Highlights of her whirlwind year include The Great Escape in England, Iceland Airwaves, Eurosonic in The Netherlands, and Waves Vienna. She also graced the stages of The G! Festival in the Faroe Islands and Moldejazz in Norway.
