Singer-songwriter and producer with French-American roots, Lolo Zouaï has established herself as one of the most distinctive voices of her generation. She is announcing today a new album, “Reverie” (April 24, 2026), accompanied by the single “Holding On”. With prestigious collaborations alongside Blood Orange, Shygirl, E-40, Amber Mark, Saint Levant, and Michaël Brun, she has also shared the stage on a world tour with Dua Lipa and Caroline Polachek. Named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, Lolo Zouaï embodies a bold new pop sound at the crossroads of cultures and influences.
On ‘Reverie’, Lolo Zouaï reinvents herself and reconnects with who she is after two years of silence, grief, and rebirth. For the first time, the album explores her French roots across 9 tracks, reflecting deep introspection that blends vulnerability with self-assertion. The hybrid productions move between alternative R&B, hip-hop, pop, and Arabic influences, creating dark, sensual textures, sometimes cinematic, sometimes in French, sometimes in English, that place her voice at the heart of the narrative. Each song is a journey through her wounds, memories, and dreams, where floating melodies, infectious rhythms, and raw emotion intertwine to spark reflection and escapism in the listener.
The third single, ‘Holding On’, illustrates this tension between holding on to the past and the desire to move forward. After going through the loss of her best friend in 2021, Lolo took the time to pause, to grieve, to write, and to rediscover the deeper meaning of her music. That raw emotion is present throughout the track, at times written with tears in her eyes.
Lolo Zouaï’s reality is that she embodies a triple culture: born in Paris, raised in San Francisco, and shaped by her Algerian roots. This identity mosaic lies at the heart of the album. Her reconnection with France holds a special resonance for her. “When I started out, France welcomed me, but I wasn’t ready to accept it. I had an American-style career in mind. With this album, I reconsidered all of that. My favorite show was in Paris. My French audience is my best audience.”
The French-speaking world is celebrated here through the three featurings: Dinos on “Les Mots”, Lous and the Yakuza on “Lemon Squeeze”, a longtime friend and collaborator, and Disiz on “Coquelicot”, his first release after ‘Melodrama’. These collaborations further anchor the album in this bridge between France and the world.
