Chilean rock is getting a much-needed shot of honesty with the release of ‘Estoy Aquí’, the debut single from Metalurgia Rocker. This isn’t just another new band; it’s an alliance of seasoned veterans injecting decades of grit and pedigree into a raw, expansive sound. The lineup reads like a "who’s who" of the Santiago scene: Víctor Escobar (Alto Voltaje) on vocals, Pablo Carrasco (Priapo, Chernobill) locking down the low end, ChinoRock (Silverjack, Iron Spell) providing the riff architecture, and Francisco “Huaso” Zamorano (Los Muertos, Los Ñipas) serving as the rhythmic engine.
Moving away from tired rock clichés, this single is a manifesto on resilience. It draws a line in the sand between genuine loyalty and the fair-weather friends who vanish when things get tough. It’s a story of personal rebirth, written for those who know who their real allies are once the house lights go down. Speaking on the track’s history, Víctor Escobar revealed that these songs were penned over a decade ago and kept locked in a vault. "Today, alongside these world-class musicians, we’ve decided to set them free," Escobar says, noting that these stories serve as life lessons for the listener and hinting that more tracks are already in the pipeline.
To ensure the production stands up to international standards, the band tracked drums at Estudio Concerto with Nelson Navarro and Claudio Rodríguez. Vocals and strings were forged under the watchful eye of Jaime Salva (Tomo como Rey), who also added keyboards to the mix. With mixing and mastering handled by Aldo Garay, the final result is a high-octane guarantee for the most demanding ears in the game.
