Recorded at a special show in their home country, Andorra, the new version of “One Word” again takes the band’s brand of progressive death metal to a new level with the masterful addition of the Orquestra Nacional Clàssica d’Andorra (National Classical Orchestra of Andorra). Performed live, “One Word”—originally released on their most recent EP, Lingua Ignota: Part I (2024)—is even grander than before and captures the impressive energy PERSEFONE brings to the stage with pristine clarity—goosebumps guaranteed. “In every show, there are different moments, but nothing compares to the thrill of the intro that leads to the very beginning. You can feel the energy on stage; you can see the people eager to release their enthusiasm after waiting for the first sonic explosion. For this particular show, the song that was chosen to ignite the whole experience had to be ‘One Word’. It’s one of the last songs we wrote, yet one of our favorites to play live. Recorded at a one-off orchestral show in the National Auditorium of their home country Andorra in May 2024, the six-piece band take their already sophisticated sound to even grander heights, celebrating both their 20-year history and their return home after not having performed in Andorra in ten years. In collaboration with the Orquestra Nacional Clàssica d’Andorra (National Classical Orchestra of Andorra), the symphonic accompaniment adds immense grandeur to a catalog-spanning set, embellishing their unmatched live energy to triumphant highs.
