Swedish hailing rockband REACH is making waves in the international Rock scene with their new album "Prophecy" (March 29, 2024). This highly anticipated full-length featured the electrifying single "Mama Mama,"received excessive airplay on Radio Bob [DE], also supported by Star FM [DE] (Berlin/Nürnberg), and Radio 21 [DE], the album was also supported by a radio ad on Rock Antenne [DE] which places REACH on all four of the biggest rock stations in Germany. Further album singles, "Little Dreams" and “A Million Lives” are winning ground in Sweden and Finland, each earning spot plays on leading national rock stations Bandit Rock (SE) and Rock Radio (FI). After their German leg of their 'Prophecy Tour' REACH released a first remix earlier this summer with Linton Rubino (ex. Ghost) and his band Priest who remixed 'A Million Lives'. Now the turn has come to re-visit a collaboration with Zardonic, who successfully remixed the band's single The Law back in 2021.
REACH and Zardonic announce a new long awaited collaboration on the upcoming Mama Mama (Zardonic Remix) which is released September 4 via Icons Creating Evil Art. The remix is adding dubstep and dark drum n' bass elements to this successful single. The original single received excessive airplay on Radio Bob [DE], also supported by Star FM [DE] (Berlin/Nürnberg), and Radio 21 [DE], which placed REACH on the biggest rock stations in Germany.
The song has some intriguing and horrifying storytelling wrapped in the grinding guitars and powerful vocal performance and this merges surprisingly well with the new remix-elements. Singer and songwriter Ludvig Turner tells us about the dark lyrical theme of the single; “Mama Mama is one of the darkest songs from the new album. It’s written from the perspective of a kid seeing his parents fight, believing it's his fault. Classic… Mom beats dad to death and the kid worries what's gonna happen next. It all ends with him beating mommy to death”
This is not the first time REACH has worked with Zardonic, they successfully collaborated on a Zardonic remix of the band's single The Law back in 2021.
REACH, consisting of Ludvig Törner, Marcus Johansson, and Soufian Ma’Aoui, continues to evolve their musical prowess. Collaborating with acclaimed music producer Christian Schneider in crafting "Prophecy", they've honed their distinctive sound, blending playful elements with raw musical talent. This particular trademark comes to life during their explosive live shows, where their passion for music and improvisation create unforgettable experiences for new and returning audiences alike.
Törner elaborates on the makings of the album: "We took a different approach for this album. The songs and lyrics are written by me and arranged by the whole band along with our Producer, Chris Snyder. His vision for Reach was to record the base of the songs live, as the trio Reach, without all the extra stuff. If the songs were good at their core, then all the choirs, strings and extra production would just act to enhance them. We loved the approach and how it turned out. This album really reflects all three of us, perhaps more so than ever before."
Building on the momentum from their successful European tour with H.E.A.T., REACH has witnessed a surge in popularity, with their singles enjoying extensive airplay across major radio stations in Germany and Sweden. The album "Prophecy" stands as a testament to their artistry and creativity, demonstrating their willingness to explore beyond genre boundaries.
Since the early 2000s, Federico Ágreda Álvarez, the masked performer known to the world as DJ and producer Zardonic, has harnessed the power of the nexus between Drum & Bass and Heavy Metal to create the sound that is now known as Metal & Bass. Born and raised in Venezuela, inspired by America, and based in Germany with a passport book stamped into oblivion, he also represents a union of cultures. Following a prolific string of releases, remixes for Pop Evil, Fear Factory, Bullet For My Valentine and Sonic Syndicate, video game soundtracks for Superhot: Mind Control Delete and Redout 2, plus features on All Elite Wrestling, TNT and NBC Sports, packed shows on multiple continents, and 100 million-plus streams, he realized the power and potential of his vision like never before on his 2023 full-length offering Superstars [MNRK HEAVY].
“I’m blessed enough to be able to do what I love the most, and that is Music. Music is my own form of self-healing. It allows me to float above the darkness. Maybe, it will do the same for you.”
