Last Friday, the acclaimed German nu-disco producer Satin Jackets has released “First Thing” featuring the vocals of the UK singer Tailor. This new track, the third and final pre-release single from the forthcoming Satin Jackets double LP Reunion, fuses the signature Satin Jackets Ibiza ready balearic nu-disco sound with tasteful modern synth pop, a great example of what makes this forthcoming album a level up from the producer’s already successful first two records.

For a decade now the name Satin Jackets has been synonymous with sublimely laidback Balearic house and sun kissed disco. The brainchild of German producer Tim Bernhardt who, following a successful career producing house music under a variety of different aliases, launched Satin Jackets as a vehicle to explore his lifelong love of disco and the clean, polished productions of artists like CHIC and Trevor Horn.

Inspired in part by the Lockdown Streams that drew hundreds of thousands of Satin Jackets fans looking for a nu-disco oasis while stuck inside, this new project Reunion simultaneously refining the existing formula of his music while also growing comfortable enough to step out of that box into more pop accessible tunes. Along with 'First Thing', other album highlights include lead single 'Move On', which reached #1 in the HYPEM popular chart upon its release. 'Move On' features vocalist and regular Satin Jackets collaborator Panama on vocals and a slightly more upbeat iteration of the signature Satin Jackets sound.

A stunning follow up to the German producer's first two critically acclaimed albums, Reunion features 14 tracks of nu-disco, house, leftfield pop and guest vocals from the likes of Australian star Panama, Belgian singer Ivy Falls, US based vocalist Metaxas and up and coming British singer Tailor. From start to finish the third album adds new depths and dimensions to the Satin Jackets sound whilst sounding utterly unforced.

Reunion will be released in full via Eskimo Recordings on August 26th, 2022.
