On Friday, 29 November 2024, Cumbia Acosadora by Sebastiano Lillo, Italian guitarist and producer, will be released on major DSPs and digital stores by the independent Italian label Trulletto Records.
Recorded live, Cumbia Acosadora is a psychomagic experience with strong shamanic traits. It features the notable participation of musicians who accompany Sebastiano Lillo in live performances: Dado Penta on bass, Teo Carriero on drums, Aldo Dipaolo on organ, and Alessio Santoro on percussion.
Only a few months after his recent releases El Verano Eterno (Trulletto Records, June 2024), Living Duende (Trulletto Records, March 2024), and the album Loving Duende (Vision & Vitality Ent., October 2023), which received highly positive feedback from audiences and the press, the musician from Apulia is ready to close a cycle, once again showcasing his artistic and performance abilities.

With Cumbia Acosadora, the artist continues his exploration of cumbia, which he had already approached, albeit marginally, in the acclaimed Loving Duende, now focusing on the more traditional and psychedelic aspects of the genre. The two original tracks—the gritty title track Cumbia Acosadora and the cinematic La Estación Dorada—along with a hypnotic reinterpretation of the classic Sonido Amazónico by Los Mirlos, further enrich the cosmopolitan musical universe of the artist.
Sebastiano Lillo's psychedelic mix of exotic sounds, world music, and Afro and Latin rhythms, creates a landscape of vibrant, deep sounds that transports the listener on an exciting journey across the frontiers of global music.
