With highly personal yet relatable lyrics written by Selin with Gil Lewis (Blithe, BEKA, Aleyna Tilki) and acclaimed singer-songwriter Sarah Close, “LOVERS HURRICANE” takes shape as a powerfully emotive, sweeping ballad about a lost love affair – further realized in the music video’s stormy, dramatic visuals. Artistically off-setting with the pop-rock vibrancy of last August’s “cool” (watch), the cinematic production on “LOVERS HURRICANE” is the perfect backdrop for Selin’s rich and full-bodied powerhouse vocals to take centre stage.

Cutting her teeth via dance cuts for major names like Mahmut Orhan and Trafoier, the bilingual, free-spirited creative eventually made her official Warner Music debut in 2021 with the punchy and slick synth stylings of “Gidip Gel”; transforming the song into a fully English remake in “Give and Take”, which received key support from Brooke Reese’s Apple Music show.

Selin’s UK gig portfolio includes shows at Indigo2 (supporting legendary Turkish diva Sertab Erener), O2 Islington, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, The Courtyard Theatre (opening for Donna Missal) as well as Camden Assembly and Strongroom Shoreditch; meanwhile, Selin’s joint single “Enemies” with Roxen landed a major slot on Spotify’s Times Square billboard, and her recent activation as Gap’s brand ambassador in Türkiye proved her rising commercial viability as an artist.

Originally born in Istanbul, Selin’s family relocated to the UK when she was just one – the first in a series of moves which saw her living across Northern Ireland, London and Scotland.
