Multi-talented Pan-Caribbean rising star Shamah Levy delivers soulfully sweet pop-reggae vibes on the infectious new single "Wifey," out today via the artist's own LuvHerBoi Records label. Produced and written by the Brooklyn native, "Wifey" showcases Levy's silky-smooth vocals with an unforgettable melody that bounces along to the sticky one drop groove:

  • I want to make you my wifey
  • I like the way you smile
  • I love the way you dance to a random song
  • And every time we hang
  • I hope you feel the same
  • But I get butterflies when I feel your soul

Shamah also premiered the official music video for "Wifey" today on his YouTube channel. Directed by the Emmy-nominated Dwight Winston -- known for his stunning cinematography work on the "Survivor" TV series, as well as official videos for reggae stars Etana and Pressure Busspipe -- the new visuals were filmed on the scenic beaches of St. Thomas USVI, following a couple on a romantic tropical vacation, as the man endearingly stumbles through attempts at the perfect marriage proposal.

Drawing from his own deeply personal experience, Levy said, "'Wifey' was written about my first true love. I sang it to her the day before she left NY. I am hoping this song can be an inspiration to couples in love with their other half. The music and the art are about positive energy and being grateful for what you have before it's gone."

The song is already receiving support from the likes of NYC radio icon, Funk Flex, on his nightly HOT 97 slot. Flex also has Shamah booked for the star-studded "Funk Flex Winter Fest" at Barclays Center on December 28.

Shamah Levy blends all the sounds of the Diaspora — Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Afrobeats, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Pop — into his own distinctive feel-good fusion style that is uniquely Shamah. Born and raised in Brooklyn to parents from Trinidad and Barbados, he grew up surrounded by the multi-cultural musical sounds of New York, most notably presented by his father, Dahved Levy, on the radio legend's famed "Caribbean Fever" program on WBLS for the last three decades.

Shamah is managed by music industry veteran Murray Elias (Popstand Management), the A&R mind behind global superstar Sean Paul's early success. "When Shamah first played 'Wifey' for me, I felt the same way as I did the day Sean Paul first played me 'Gimme The Light," offered Elias. He added, "this song has the same universal crossover appeal. Shamah Levy is a brilliant songwriter and the right artist to deliver his message of love and positivity. I am honored to work with him and excited about his potential."
