Today, Sorry have returned with their new track “Jive”, a song that has become an integral part of their live show over the past two years. The song is their second of 2025, following on from “Jetplane” which reached the BBC R6 Music B-List and their acclaimed 2024 mini-odyssey, “Waxwing”.
“Jive” is a culmination of all the elements that have made Sorry one of the most innovative British groups of the past ten years. The song is built around a nagging, sticky hook that sits somewhere between alienation and catharsis, with Asha Lorenz' vocals spanning loneliness, urgency and desire. The instrumentation moves from measured to raging in the blink of an eye with digital squalls pressing against churning guitars. “Jive” is a track of thrilling contradictions and continues Sorry’s remarkable hot-streak of singles.
