THIRD STUDIO ALBUM TO BE RELEASED SUMMER 2023

The Raven Age have signed a worldwide deal with Music For Nations/Sony and are set to release their third studio album via the label during summer 2023.

Speaking about the signing guitarist George Harris says, “Spirits are high in The Raven Age camp right now. We’re absolutely ecstatic to be working with such an awesome team at Music For Nations and to get the ball rolling with the long-awaited new album campaign. It’s a serious achievement for us, I’m super proud of all the lads and everyone involved. Bring on next year, it’s going to be a cracker."

Continuing singer Matt James (MJ) adds, “We feel extremely excited to be starting this new chapter with such a prestigious metal label. Our long-awaited new album finally has the platform it needs, and we can’t wait for 2023!!!”

Welcoming the band to the label, MFN Director Julie Weir says, “All of us here at Music For Nations are overjoyed to welcome The Raven Age to the label family. They have already accomplished so much on their own, and have an exceptional Management, Press and Booking team around them already, so we are excited to take them to the next level of their career with support from our own structure both in the UK and Internationally, to grow their influence and fanbase.”

The new record from the melodic metal quintet follows from their last critically acclaimed studio album Conspiracy in 2019, which achieved over 35 million streams and a Top 30 Billboard Radio single ‘Fleur De Lis’.

The forthcoming album will be the band’s first with new guitarist Tommy Gentry and they have also teamed up with Matt Hyde (Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine, Trivium), Mika Jussila at Finnvox (Nightwish, Children of Bodom & HIM) and several other special guests to be revealed at a later date.

The wait for the highly anticipated new album from The Raven Age has been lengthy due to the pandemic halting their release plans. The band turned their focus to a passionate release of Exile in 2021, a reflective record shining a light on The Raven Age fans had not heard before.

Exile reworked tracks from Conspiracy in new expanded acoustic forms, highlighting the versatility and depth to their already impressive canon of monstrous guitar riffs, pummelling rhythms and powerful melodies. It also featured two brand new tracks alongside hand-picked live recordings from their tours in front of massive audiences in Chile, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.

2022 saw The Raven Age welcome the return of live music with many festival and support appearances across the summer including main stage appearances at Download & Mystic Festival as well as featuring as special guests to Volbeat, Tremonti and most recently Godsmack across their respective headline shows.

The band have a strong live reputation built from relentless touring, also playing with the likes of Alter Bridge, Killswitch Engage, Mastodon and Iron Maiden to name a few. Alongside the release of their new album the band have a huge international touring plot planned for the year ahead.

The Raven Age are already announced to perform at a number of European festivals including, Germany’s Rock am Ring, Belgium’s Graspop Metal Meeting as well as Metal Days in Slovenia and they have more impressive announcements to follow soon.

2023 will be the year of the Raven.
