Dutch stoner/doom metal juggernaut Thorndale is gearing up to unleash their second album, Spiritual Chains, set to drop on September 12. The band recently released a gripping music video for the album’s lead single, “Veins of the Phoenix,” as well as videos for more singles "Gods of Pain", "Twenty Thousand Souls" and "Battles Fought in Vain" which can be viewed online now.

Building on the momentum of their acclaimed 2024 debut, Lightning Spawn, this new record dives into a heavier, more polished sound. The band’s lineup now includes a second guitarist, adding fresh layers to their intense riffs and powerful atmosphere.
Thorndale draws its strength from seasoned players of bands like Adarrak, Killing Darlings, Embers of Oblivion, Epinikion, and Primal Charge, blending doom’s crushing weight with stoner metal’s hypnotic drive. Their global fanbase eagerly awaits Spiritual Chains, anticipating a landmark release.
Crafted in studios across North America and Europe, the album highlights the band’s dedication to sonic quality. “If you hear a touch of the familiar here and there, that’s exactly what it is. Hints, reminders that there were Giants of Metal long ago, and that the fire of those forebears continues to burn bright in talented musicians today from the scene." - Billy Goate (Doomed & Stoned)
