Sydney Melodic Metal act Visualis are proud to release their new single and video for the song ‘Sons of the Sun’. This single is the 2nd release to come as part of their upcoming full-length album ‘Rites of the Eclipse’ and it features respected singer Jo Amore (KingCrown, ex-Nightmare) as a guest vocalist, sharing duties with the band’s own singer TNT.
Guitarist Roman says about the song:
“Sons of the Sun is an epic tale that narrates an episode of the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire through the voice and point of view of two characters: an Aztec warrior and a Spanish conquistador. As a Mexican myself, this song is very important and valuable to me, as it allowed me to put a small part of the history of my beloved country into one of our songs. Musically, this is a song that is influenced by epics from classic bands like Iron Maiden, but it also features a diverse array of atmospheres, tone changes and Prehispanic infused melodies that help tie the whole lyrical of the song together.
Having grown up listening to all those great Heavy/Power Metal bands from the 2000’s like Nightmare, having Jo Amore as a guest vocalist (as the voice of the Spanish conquistador) was the absolute cherry on top. We are extremely grateful to him and I am genuinely still pinching myself to the fact that one of my all-time favourite singers is singing the very lines that I wrote for a song in my own band. The energy and power that his voice brought to the song is just next level, and we really hope everyone enjoys it”
Visualis released ‘Sons of the Sun’ as a single on all major platforms, and with a lyric video made by video creator Andrea Mantelli.
