Wardress, a band dedicated to 80s NWOBHM, was originally formed in Nürtingen in 1983. However, their early years were marked by the absence of an album release which impeded the establishment of their status. It was only in 2018, when guitarist Gor and vocalist Erich decided to retrieve some of the band's original song material from their early days, that a quasi-re-formation took place. As a result, their debut album "Dress For War" (2019) was finally released in 2019, which immortalized both old and current material.

During the pandemic, the band seized the opportunity to work on their second album, "Metal Til The End". With this album, Wardress remained stylistically true to their roots and made the album title their program. The album features sawing riffs with surprising breaks and anthemic melodies, alternating with explosive solos, complemented by bitingly ironic lyrics. The production and mix, which were handled by Rolf Munkes at the Empire Studio in Bensheim, provide a dynamic, live-like atmosphere.

"Metal 'Til the End" exudes a sense of life, sweat, and blood. It represents heavy metal in its purest form, original yet simply timeless.
