Multi-talented and freshly married couple Alexander Deprez (Sasha Le Fou), °1995, Kortrijk (BE) and Sarah Neutkens (Tippi Parade), °1998, Eindhoven (NL) proudly present their eclectic debut album, ‘Jean Mémoire’. Jean Mémoire plays the main character in this genre-defying rollercoaster ride, narrated in four different languages and dialects (West Flemish, Dutch/Kempisch, French, and English). Together with the listener, he is confronted with the intertwined layers of societal and personal trauma’s. Sasha le Fou & Tippi Parade reveal an undeniable truth: nothing is not political. Tu nous rejoins?

In a world in crisis, in a world ablaze, the need for political messages in music has never been more urgent. Sasha le Fou and Tippi Parade deliver political satire in a more accessible form, wrapped in a message that will leave few untouched. To quote Jean-Luc Godard: "Les miroirs devraient plus réfléchir avant de renvoyer une image." Or: "Mirrors should think longer before reflecting an image."

Sasha le Fou & Tippi Parade are the outcasts of the earth, born from the shadowy depths of capitalist society. With their wildly eccentric, genre-breaking music, they traverse not only their own personal traumas but also those of the world around them.

The first single, also titled 'Jean Mémoire' is an introduction to the man who is one of many in the working class, shaped and toughened by life. He's had enough: j’en ai marre. He no longer wants to wait for change, no longer wants to burn himself out for his friends, and he's done being humiliated and belittled by the ruling class. He's on the brink of an intense journey to shake up his subconscious. What is he up to?

For their album, they join forces with the label Excelsior Recordings and they are crafting a surreal and socially critical live show which will be a captivating blend of theater and music. Imagine Godard meets Pink Floyd, David Lynch meets Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin. To bring this vision to life, they have collaborated with Nathan Ysebaert (Shht, Blue Gene, Wild Classical Music Ensemble), Tijl Van de Casteele (Whorses), Michiel Renson (Shht), and Siebe Duthoit.

As multidisciplinary artists, Sasha and Tippi’s approach centers on a total concept —a Gesamtkunstwerk— that fuses music, theater, cabaret, visual arts, and poetry. They push all boundaries, shatter conventions, and deliver an explosive artistic experience that refuses to be boxed in.
