Modern Nature, onder leiding van multi-instrumentalist Jack Cooper (The Beep Seals, Mazes en Ultimate Painting), heeft pas net hun album The Heat Warps uitgebracht en is nu al terug met de single Shasta. Luister de track hier op Spotify.
Modern Nature staat bekend om hun mix van post-rock, jazz, en ambient folk. Ze halen vaak inspiratie uit de wereld om hen heen, zo ook voor Shasta. Hier vertelt Cooper over:
“I wrote the words to this song when I was looking out the window driving through Northern California in 2024. For about an hour of the drive Mount Shasta loomed in the distance. Obscured by silhouettes of pine, mist and steamy van windows. It looked like Mount Doom. A lot of The Heat Warps words were written whilst looking out of a van window."
