and& announces Max Cooper, Yussef Dayes, Nkisi and many more!
and& is an innovation festival that brings together changemakers of today to inspire curious minds of all backgrounds. It takes place across 25 venues in Leuven. and& consists of a conference, the focal point of the festival, an art exhibition and a Curious track in the evening offering music, talks and performances. The first edition saw over 18.000 attendees getting inspired by thinkers, inventors, entrepreneurs, citizens & artists.
Het Depot, official music curator of and&, carefully programmed a selection of groundbreaking performances. Among the second list of names are Max Cooper, Yussef Dayes, Nkisi, Greentea Peng, DJ Marcelle and Nosedrip. They're joining the previously announced Octo Octa, one of the most charted artists of 2019, and Victor De Roo. The latter is a resident of the festival, presenting a different performance each day.
By far the biggest name on the line up is Max Cooper. He will stun the audience with his latest and most expansive endeavour “Yearning For The Infinite”. A mind-blowing immersive audio/visual live show about our obsession with the unobtainable.
Joris Vaes (Het Depot): “Max has always been interrogating and furthering the intersection between electronic music, visual art, technology and science. At and& he delivers a live sonic and multi-surface visual experience of drowning in data. It draws on theories of infinity from throughout history and critically looks at the natural drive of people to always yearn for more. This makes him the perfect addition to the line up of a festival that aims to inspire, not only to make you dance."
The concerts will take place in Het Depot & STELPLAATS. The first is the city’s main music club. The second is a smaller underground venue close to the Leuven railway station & Het Depot.
and& Curious brings together international artists who push music, performance & technology forward. Expect a mix of 25 live shows, DJ sets, talks & A/V club experiences. Follow and& for more info & tickets.
