Arab Strap shares track Fighting for you

Scottish band Arab Strap have shared their new single Fighting For You. This year marks 30 years since the release of their first song, and to celebrate the milestone they will release a new album, Half-Told Tales, on September 4.

The new single Fighting For You was loosely inspired by the final line of Natasha Brown’s political satire Universality. With the track, the band takes aim at right-wing opportunists and hollow nationalism, while Malcolm Middleton’s driving guitar work amplifies the song’s sense of urgency and defiance.

Frontman Aidan Moffat explains: “It’s about certain political figures and very wealthy demagogues that I don't trust to look after anyone's interests but their own."
