Basilar Festival - 8th to 11th September - Montalegre, Portugal

Basilar Festival will hold its 1st edition from 8-11 September 2022 at Barragem dos Pisões, Montalegre. Focusing on techno and its variants, Basilar emerges from a desire to bring together a community of artists and followers with whom we share common values and a vision of techno music. A complete experience sewn together by some of the most thrilling acts in the national and international scenes.

Taking place in an idyllic setting surrounded by nature and in an intimate atmosphere, Basilar intends to merge with the environment in a non-intrusive way, with sustainability and structural concerns, aiming for a truly immersive experience.

The 15 artists already announced as part of the lineup are now joined by Psyk, founder of Non Series and a European reference of the deepest and most visceral side of techno; Leiras (live), founder of Ownlife, with his intricate and rhythmically effective compositions, is capable of leading us to the most radiant landscapes; Fadi Mohem, affiliated with FJAAK's Spandau20 collective and closely bonded with Klockworks, a now established talent of the Berlin techno scene, with a groovy and funky vibe; and The Lady Machine, a veteran artist whose vinyl only sets are based on a complex structure of rhythms, synth lines and dark textures, embodying the spirit of 21st-century techno.

The line-up is sewn by Cravo and Vil, founders of Hayes Collective and prominent figures of Portugal's techno movement, whose sets are intense and soulful; Morsil with her hypnotic approach, built at different speeds; and VHS live, who explores the endless dimensions of the genre's universe.
