Blanche new video for 'Wrong Turn'
Produced by world-renowned production house CANADA, the video for ‘Wrong Turn’ was inspired by The Virgin Suicides, Dogtooth, and Mustang, and depicts the rites and rituals of young women in a closed, domestic world.
“It’s a world with its own rules and reality,” explains director Nur Casadevall. “Blanche and her gang try to escape this place. They travel through the different halls, rooms and memories of their home, and into the garden. But when they finally reach the border, they find that they are floating through space. There is no exit. They are trapped.”
Speaking about the track, Blanche says: “’Wrong Turn’ is about daring to go the way nobody expects you to, but still not knowing if it is the right way. It’s about not going where’s expected; doubts, losing time, love, other people’s views, strength, fears, talking the right way, and the influence of love on our life decisions.”
Produced by Patrick Wimberly, whose credits include Beyoncé, Solange, Blood Orange and Chairlift, ‘Wrong Turn’ is the follow up to Blanche’s 2017 debut single ‘City Lights’, which has now achieved over 20 million streams.
Blanche will embark on a series of live and festival dates this summer and autumn. Details are outlined below.
