Boizy Channels Summertime Nostalgia via Speed Garage-Inspired Single "My Love" on Discovery Project
Emerging producer Boizy joins Insomniac’s Discovery Project label with the release of his label debut, “My Love,” a speed garage-inspired single surfacing on July 18th. The track was the official winning submission for the DJ / producer competition hosted at EDC Las Vegas, and chosen by dance music mainstays, SLANDER.
With no hesitation, the Chicago-based producer Boizy debuts with a UK garage- and melodic house-infused single, “My Love.” The track is built around fuzzy low-end rumbles and glimmering melodies. A warm, pitched-up vocal hook and infectious coos glide gently atop its oxytocin-soaked groove, nodding subtly to the sounds of speed garage. Taking inspiration from viral tracks by NOTION and John Summit, Boizy plays with the synths and vocal chops in a way to give it that nostalgic, summery feel; a quality that makes it worthy of staying deep in dancefloor rotation.
Acknowledging the track glows with an undeniable beam of sunshine, Boizy describes the track by saying it “brings me back to 2016 summer vibes.”
The track was the winning submission for the Discovery Project DJ / producer competition hosted at EDC Las Vegas, and was selected personally by guest judges, SLANDER. After landing the top spot, Boizy secured this release on the label, as well as a performance at this year’s installment of the internationally renowned three-day festival.
With “My Love,” Boizy celebrates a significant milestone of his producer career, earning a cosign from one of dance music’s most in-demand names. Counting SLANDER in his corner—and many new eyes expected to follow—the future looks bright for the budding house artist.
Boizy’s debut single “My Love” is available on all platforms via Discovery Project.
