Capturing the sound and attitude that conquered the Sunset Strip, the band's four-song debut paints a glistening image of night-life fun, reckless lust, and sleazy love. Edited, mixed, and mastered by Alejandro Gabasa Barcoj (Leather Heart), Love Venom features all the dual-shred guitar licks, soaring vocals, and thunder-like rhythm expected from a newcomer in the NWOTHM scene.

"On their self-released debut EP, Love Venom, this international quintet reach back to the golden era of glam metal and re-contextualize that style’s unselfconscious hooks and horniness for the modern era."

Formed in the summer of 2019 by promising up-and-coming guitarists Sonia Anubis (Crypta, ex-Burning Witches) and Sebastian "Spyder" Silva (Idle Hands, Silver Talon, ex-Spellcaster), COBRA SPELL is influenced by the golden era sound of the '80s. Anxiously wanting to start a band, the duo's dreams were further cemented after meeting metal legend Alice Cooper, who advised the guitarists to follow their dreams of making music together.

To complete the lineup, Sonia and Sebastian enlisted the support of like-minded musicians with a burning desire for over-the-top antics on-stage and unique style to match. Alexx Panza (Hitten, Jack Starr's Burning Starr) takes command and channels 80s metal greats with powerful reverberating vocals, while Angelina Vehera lays a steady, rockin' foundation with earth-shattering rumbling bass, and Mike ‘Lucas’ Verhof creates the backbone with machine gun-like drumming tenacity.

COBRA SPELL is armed and ready to blaze a trail of sleazy nostalgia while bringing renewed relevance to an underappreciated era of heavy metal.
