Cristina Branco on tour in Latin America

Cristina Branco embarks today on an extensive tour throughout Latin America as part of the Fado Festival. Bogotá, Lima, Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires, and Rio de Janeiro are the cities that will host her latest album, 'Mãe'. Still in 2023, Branco will perform in Portugal and Italy. The tour will continue in 2024 throughout Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, Panama and Oman.

Released on September 22, 2023, the latest album, 'Mãe' beautifully encapsulates the solemnity of Fado, the magic found when diving into music, and the emotional depth that words convey, the pauses between sentences, and the intensity of silence. The opening track, 'Senhora do Mar Redondo' exemplifies this perfectly, with a four-voice dialogue where Lídia Jorge's words are interpreted as a cloak of liberation. 'Mãe' pays tribute to Traditional Fado and serves as a homage to the genre.

With an astonishing 26 year career, 18 albums released, and countless performances worldwide, Cristina Branco is a distinguished ambassador of Portuguese culture. Her body of work is a significant contribution to the promotion and preservation of Portuguese music, language, and authors.

It is on the stage that everything converges. Cristina Branco's concerts are renowned for their emotional intensity and technical prowess, transcending the musical experience of recordings.
