Dominic Benjamin goes back to his roots with new single Take Me back

Continuing on his impressive journey of releasing a brand new track every month throughout 2018, Essex based, Singer-Songwriter Dominic Benjamin has gone back to his childhood roots with the release of his new track ‘Take Me Back’. Consisting of country-inspired acoustic guitars, folk fuelled harmonica’s and gang sung choruses, ‘Take Me Back’ shouts influences from the likes of The Lumineers to Van Morrison's Brown eyed girl.

Speaking of the new track Dominic says, “This track references many locations in my home village. The track is all about the things I did when I was younger and the places I used to hang out. I wrote it after buying my first house earlier in the year and thinking about how I’m finally going to leave the little village I grew up in, but my roots will always be there.”

Take Me Back is the eighth track released this year from Dominic Benjamin as he continues to write, record and release as a DIY artist. The track is now available for exclusive web streaming premieres and reviews.

About Dominic Benjamin

Born and raised in a little village on the Essex/Suffolk borders, Dominic Benjamin started his musical adventures fronting punk rock bands. After years of touring around the UK and Europe as the frontman of a band, Dominic Benjamin took a step into the unknown on his own in Late 2017 after the departure of unreliable band members. Releasing a brand new track every month throughout 2018 and already hitting thousands of streams from across the globe, Dominic's music has been picked up by many respectable playlists, radio shows (BBC Essex, BBC Introducing, BBC Suffolk, University Radio, Rebel Radio etc) and has been invited to play numerous live events such as SofarSounds, Virgin's Limited Edition Roof Gardens in Kensington London, The Designer Awards London 2017 and many other events across the country.

Influenced by his love of folk rock and acoustic music such as Ben Howard, Langhorne Slim, James Bay and Ryan Adams, Dominic’s solo project showcases his impressive talent to switch from a punk rock musician to acoustic folk singer.
