Drool release their most ambitious song to date - Playground Wars

DROOL burst onto the scene with debut single Fun in January 2019, a track which picked up serious traction from radio, blogs and fans, getting them over 315k plays on Spotify. The band spent the rest of that year playing sold out shows in Europe and have recently toured with The Mysterines and The Pale White on UK shows as well as opening for Band of Skulls.

Exploring themes of self-worth, reflection, and love - the songs nuanced lyrics adhere to their unique sound.

Inspired by the stark driven basslines of post-punk favourites Joy Division and the piercing inflection of ‘Is This It?’ era guitars the song is their most ambitious track to date. Described by Charlie Ashcroft - Amazing Radio as having ‘various strokes from indie pop and alternative rock palettes’ they deftly mix genres to create a unique sound they call ‘outsider pop’.

After signing a publishing deal and writing for many artists, lead singer Joey Rogers was left with an abundance of tracks he kept for a secret project entitled ‘Drool’. Persuaded by his uncle Tony Rogers of The Charlatans he decided to form a band. Joining forces with friend Martin Soderin (drummer of Vant) and guitarist Louis Greenway they’ve become a force to be reckoned with.
