Eaves playing two concerts in Brussels
Eaves announces details of tour with Philip Selway.
Glacially beautiful folk-rock from the brilliant Leeds singer, with lyrics like daggers – Sunday Times
Eaves, who recently released his debut EP, As Old As The Grave, has been announced as main support on the forthcoming Philip Selway European tour.
Having recently played both a heart-stirring show at the Blue Flowers night at the George IV in Chiswick and toured alongside Nick Mulvey, the tour will feature Eaves performing solo accompanied only by his guitar and piano.
Date in Belgium is as follows:
FEBRUARY 2015 7th Brussels Ancienne Belgique Ballroom
Eaves is also supporting Nick Mulvey this week, be on time!
NOVEMBER 2014 25th Brussels Botanique Rotonde
Still in his early 20s and based in Leeds, Eaves possesses an effortless and intuitive songwriting talent. Lyrically perceptive and tinged with a world weary wisdom that belies his age, Eaves’ fragile, delicate and haunting songs have an ageless quality.
Eaves is currently finishing his debut album with producer Cam Blackwood. To be released in spring 2015, the album will feature both grand-scale tracks recorded with a full band and starkly beautiful piano / vocal / guitar solo takes.
Eaves reveals the video for his track, ‘Timber’ taken from debut EP “As Old As The Grave” which is available now on Heavenly Recordings.
Directed by Paul Kelly (Nowhere Is Home, How We used To Live, Lawrence of Belgravia) the video sees Joe Lyons AKA Eaves taking in the sites of Baroque church St Pauli Kirche in Hamburg. You can watch it here.
Available digitally and as a limited edition 7”, the track listing of the EP is as follows:
- As Old As The Grave
- Timber
- Alone In My Mind (For Mannington Bowes).
