An untouchable voice singing lyrics that could well be poetry from the stars, set against a musical backdrop capable of levitating listeners without warning — "Apples for Isaac" is a monumental return from Echo & The Bunnymen. After years spent performing their immense catalogue of classics to audiences around the world, the Bunnymen have recorded an album that is bold and confident and at times even offers the listener a loving embrace. Across "Apples for Isaac"’s eleven songs, Ian McCulloch, Will Sergeant and the band have created an utterly addictive collection that perfectly captures the very essence of what makes the Bunnymen so great.

"Apples for Isaac" features peerless drummer Clem Burke playing on ten of the album’s eleven tracks. The Bunnymen noted his contribution to the album: “The mighty, legendary Clem Burke - longtime friend of Mac - was integral to the making of the album, and heartbreakingly passed away during its completion... love you Clem X

The first single from "Apples for Isaac" is the mighty "Brussels Is Haunted", a sublime three and a half minutes of music that swoops and soars over Belgium’s capital city and spies on the characters who have passed through it like ghosts and brought the place to life in vivid detail.

ABOUT ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN:

Formed in Liverpool in 1978, Echo & The Bunnymen cast an astonishing brightness into the long shadows of punk rock. From the very beginning, they brought matchless musicality, along with Ian McCulloch’s unmistakable, inimitable British wit and soul, to a body of songs that generations since have learned and sung. Over the years, their poignant and stirring records have been labelled everything from new wave and post-punk to psychedelia and goth. In truth, they are simply the glorious work of one of the greatest rock ’n’ roll bands ever to emerge from Liverpool.

Echo & The Bunnymen are Ian McCulloch, Will Sergeant, Ste Brannan, Simon Finley, Mike Smith and Peter Riley.
