evvvie releases Another Night
Toronto-based artist evvvie — the musical project of tour photographer-turned-musician Evie Maynes — continues to carve out her place in the modern dream-pop landscape with her latest single, “Another Night.” Known for blending nostalgic melodies with shimmering, contemporary production, evvvie’s music explores themes of being a late bloomer, learning to love, and the emotional chaos of dating in your twenties. Following the success of “Hard To Get,” an autobiographical reflection on finding one’s voice that landed on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Canada and Amazon’s Breakthrough Indie, evvvie has quickly become a rising name among fans of Wet Leg, Beabadoobee, and Julia Jacklin.
Dubbed the “sister song” to her 2024 single “Make You Mine,” “Another Night” is a tender expression of longing — a plea for someone to stay just a little longer. The track offers a glimpse into the whimsical world of evvvie’s mind, carried by swelling harp and violin arrangements from Luna Li and vocals that evoke Alice Phoebe Lou and Weyes Blood. Following the release of “Better Than Mine” earlier this year — which earned praise from outlets like RANGE Magazine, She Makes Music, and The Partae — “Another Night” builds anticipation for evvvie’s highly awaited debut EP, set to arrive in November 2025.
