Fervents releases Plastic Snake Factory

Capitane Records is thrilled to announce the forthcoming release of Fervents' highly anticipated EP Plastic Snake Factory slated to hit the airwaves on 4 October 2024. With this second opus, the electrifying trio from Liège in Belgium dives into grittier sonic territories, drawing inspiration from the raw energy of the grunge and hardcore punk scenes.

Plastic Snake Factory showcases Fervents' evolution as they explore darker soundscapes while staying true to their signature style of unstoppable melodies and urgent arrangements crafted for the live stage. The EP is defined by dynamic vocal exchanges among the trio, amplifying the impact of Ben Baillieux's poignant lyrics. Through vehement cries of anger against societal conformism, struggles with everyday addictions, and the pursuit of a better life, Fervents embarks on a journey where the quest for El Dorado often leads to unforeseen challenges.

Recorded at Studio Koko in the post-industrial city of Liège under the guidance of Laurent Eyen (It It Anita), Plastic Snake Factory underwent meticulous mixing and mastering in Brighton by Ben Hampson (Ditz, Lambrini Girls) and Katie Tavini (Ditz, The Subways). The result is a 5-track EP that pulsates with raw energy and unbridled passion.

Hailing from the heart of southeast Belgium, Fervents has garnered widespread acclaim for their ferocious punk sound and captivating live performances. Following their debut EP, which featured the infectious single 'Billy,' the trio returned to the studio to craft five new tracks that delve deeper into the complexities of the human experience.

With lyrics that confront societal norms and personal demons, set against a backdrop of unmissable melodies and hard-hitting grooves, Fervents delivers a visceral experience that resonates with audiences worldwide. Their relentless energy on stage has earned them a dedicated following, with over 30 electrifying gigs across Belgium, England, and the Netherlands, as well as support slots for bands such as Kills Birds, Cloud Nothings, Flat Worms, and SONS.
