Funk Tribu releases 'where are you taking me? (mente)' & announces debut LIFE vinyl

Funk Tribu returns with the second track from his forthcoming LIFE EP. Rather than reopening the entire narrative around LIFE, where are you taking me? (mente) pushes the project further into its central theme. Where reborn (alma) represented a reset, mente lives inside the questions that follow.

The single arrives alongside the pre-sale of his debut vinyl press that will host the whole EP audio.

Built around Dillistone's vocals from the very first moments, the record balances euphoric melodies with rolling percussion and driving club energy. It sits comfortably inside the world Funk Tribu has become known for, but carries a different emotional weight; less certain, more restless, allowing tension to build before giving way to moments of release.

Over the last few years, Funk Tribu has become one of the defining names in the new wave of trance-influenced electronic music. What started with Phonky Tribu (100M streams) has taken him from a bedroom in Engativá to stages including Tomorrowland, Awakenings, Boiler Room, EDC Las Vegas and Time Warp, alongside the launch of TRIBE, his label and creative platform built around emotionally driven club music and community.

Written during an intense period of touring, LIFE explores the point where that momentum begins to shift. Not through stepping away from music, but by questioning the pace that surrounds it. Rather than pushing further outward, the project turns inward.

Alongside the music, where are you taking me? (mente) arrives with the second visual chapter of the project, continuing the cinematic language introduced in reborn (alma) while moving into a more fragmented psychological space. (Then I'd weave in the treatment once you send it.)

The LIFE project concludes on 7th August with this is the moment (cuerpo) and the full EP release, culminating in an immersive screening and live event at Studio 1111 in Berlin.
