Gee Whiz! Release New Single "Big Fireworks", Announce Debut Album "How To Manage A Crisis"
In their new, devilishly energetic single Big Fireworks, Gee Whiz! (yes, exclamation point included!) take us “on the road” with them for a party as wild as it is mysterious - one that clearly isn’t ending anytime soon.
The new single, taken from the album "How To Manage A Crisis", set to drop on March 4 via We Were Never Being Boring Collective, instantly takes us back to the good old days, evoking the feeling of being surrounded by lifelong friends. The fuse is lit, and in an instant, the scene ignites: there’s that sharp edge, that electric spark you sense when something is about to blow. Just one look, pockets full and crackling, and a long road ahead: we might veer off at any moment— “we’ll take off and get high.”

Following the overwhelming debut of Mr. Dinosaur, released last November 21, Big Fireworks is the latest preview of an album arriving March 4, titled "How To Manage A Crisis"
The Italian-based supergroup brings together Michele “Mike” Giuliani (Lùnapop, Clamat), Mariagiulia Degli Amori (Iosonouncane, Daniela Pes, A Toys Orchestra), Paul Pieretto (Settlefish, A Classic Education), and Giacomo Gelati (Altre di B, Lo Stato Sociale, LaPara).
The idea to join forces came after watching Get Back, Peter Jackson’s documentary on the legendary 1969 Beatles sessions. Inspired, Mike immediately began writing a series of demos, the first of which was Big Fireworks.
Two minutes that roar and tremble with rock and chaos—acidic guitars, driving bass, “space cake pillows and super fuzz”—and a euphoria so intense it sweeps over even Beck and Blur, subtly honoured in the lines and notes.
