German Minimalists Wooden Peak Premiere New Single "Stitch" with Music Video!
German minimalist duo Wooden Peak premieres Stitch, the first track from the band’s fourth LP, Yellow Walls, due out January 18, 2019. Check out the single video via the nice peope of Everything Is Noise!
Stitch is a beautiful blend of electronic elements and guitar. The downtempo tune is also enhanced by the understated vocals and hypnotic beats.
Everything Is Noise notes: "The minimalism of the track works hand-in-hand with the time-lapse, creating a real synergy between the images and the music. Of course, as the video progresses, you can see the visual tie in with the title of the record as well. The song’s looping beats and sparse lyrics serve the video well and help to sell the time-lapse incredibly well."
Yellow Walls is the band's fourth album, a logical consequence of their perpetual pursuit, which has already blurred the boundaries between work and music, output and opus. Carefully arranged, quiet and forceful, small and arrested in the moment. Gently pushing beats, crystalline guitars, wide surfaces and well-planned coincidences. Chord progressions and loops make it clear why the band opened for Tortoise in 2016. Bulky, yet never unruly, Bode and Wolter constantly stop on the threshold of pop music. Movements, condensed soundscapes and moods transform into small sound installations with beats and vocals.
