Halflives, has today announced her new EP, ‘How Much A Heart Can Take Before It Breaks

Italian pop rocker, Halflives, has today announced her new EP, ‘How Much A Heart Can Take Before It Breaks, due April 11th, 2025 via Still Standing.

To coincide with the announcement, Halflives, goes full-circle with the release of her brand-new single, ‘No Way Out’, which is out today on all platforms. Combined with a modern twist, the powerful new track dips into the raw and authentic roots of Halflives, who shares “for those who have been waiting for that early Halflives energy, this one’s for you.”

Speaking of the new single, Halflives mastermind, Linda Battilani shares, “‘No Way Out’ is about feeling trapped - by expectations, by society, by the weight of a world that demands perfection and productivity at every turn. The song embodies that suffocating pressure, the sense that no matter how hard you try to break free, you’re stuck in a system that doesn’t reflect who you are or what you want.”

How Much a Heart Can Take Before It Breaks marks a significant turning point in the project’s evolution through personal growth and songwriting confidence. Written and produced by Linda Battilani, this record returns to Halflives' alternative rock roots while diving into a new realm of social and personal reflection.

While taking on personal reflections alongside addressing issues like the consequences of social media, capitalism and marginalization, this EP is more socially critical than any of Halflives' previous works.

Having shifted from full band to solo project in 2022, Halflives is now one year away from having been a decade-old artistic journey. During that time, Halflives released four EPs (‘Empty Rooms’ in 2017, ‘Resilience’ in 2020, ‘V’ in 2021, ‘Inferno’ in 2023) and toured across Europe and the UK with artists like Against the Current, Palaye Royale, Smash Into Pieces, Halocene, Icon for Hire and more. Coming out right before Halflives' biggest headline tour to date, a 16-show run in 8 countries including the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands and more, How Much a Heart Can Take Before It Breaks’ is Linda Battilani's most unrestricted, confident and outspoken work so far.
