Harvest, ENGLBRT release the second single from their upcoming EP SONG(E)S, out June 5, 2026

With Harvest, ENGLBRT release the second single from their upcoming EP SONG(E)S, out June 5, 2026, following the earlier single Godspeed.

The track reflects on the evolving relationship between humans and the land that sustains them, exploring the quiet erosion of biodiversity, seasonal awareness and ancestral knowledge that once shaped everyday life. Both intimate and universal in scope, Harvest captures a fragile moment of reconnection with rhythms that modern life often leaves behind.

Written during a period spent living on a farm, singer Georges Goerens drew directly from lived experience as he temporarily stepped away from city life into a slower and more grounded routine. Feeding animals, working in the garden and observing the changing sky gradually reshaped his understanding of time, attention and care. These small gestures became the foundation of the song’s emotional landscape.

Beyond its personal dimension, Harvest also reflects a broader cultural shift: the gradual disappearance of knowledge once passed naturally between generations — how to grow food, live alongside animals and remain attentive to environmental cycles. The song evokes a quiet awareness of what has been lost, but also what can still be rediscovered.

Musically, Harvest reveals a softer and more vulnerable side of ENGLBRT. The track unfolds like a mantra: restrained and hypnotic. Muffled drums pulse beneath subtle glitch-tinged textures, while dry, close-miked vocals feel almost whispered directly into the listener’s ear. Suspended somewhere between folk and jazz balladry, the song moves gently between melancholy and openness, leaving space for personal interpretation.

Harvest further opens the sonic world of SONG(E)S, a record shaped by stillness, observation and the search for connection in an increasingly accelerated world.

ABOUT ENGLBRT

ENGLBRT is the collaborative duo of Georges Goerens and Niels Engel. The astonishing partnership sounds effortless thanks to the chemistry between two of Luxembourg’s most prolific and respected musicians. Like a well-adjusted science experience, they carefully draw from a vast field of source materials to achieve genre-defying results. After being active in acclaimed projects within the Luxembourgish music scene, both musicians retreated into renowned culture hub Kulturfabrik to eventually come up with ENGLBRT's distinctive sonic palette, laying the groundwork of future recordings with first single ‘Harm'.

Both musicians draw on a long legacy of omnivorous instrumental and genre-bending music, with a sound that is slow and widescreen, incorporating elements of electronica, contemporary jazz and well-crafted indie-pop. As if working from a lab setting, the duo isolates samples from their common musical lexicon to unearth hidden relationships, always leading to the discovery of enticing combinations. Those first experiments and songs shaped the nature of the collaboration resulting in their debut EP Odes to Everything released on the Berlin-based label Listenrecords in 2023. Taking cues from the endless scroll of everyday life, ENGLBRT delivers a dazzling soundtrack to our accelerated culture, shaping new sonic possibilities in the process.
