The marvellously monikered (yes, they are named after a tennis club in Hooton) and equally marvellous sounding Hooton Tennis Club, have announced details of the release of their second single for Heavenly Recordings.

Kathleen Sat On The Arm Of Her Favourite Chair just premiered on Brooklyn Vegan today and you can listen to it here. The single was recorded and produced at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool by Bill Ryder Jones.

Taken from their forthcoming debut album, also produced by Ryder Jones, Kathleen Sat On The Arm Of Her Favourite Chair picks up where their debut single Jasper (Lauren Laverne’s self-proclaimed track of 2015 so far) left off – sun-soaked, effortlessly off kilter, wonky pop.

Formed in Liverpool by 4 close friends, Khal, Haz, J. Dean and Uncle Ry the band appeared at the Heavenly 25th weekend at Hebden Bridge in January of this year and also more recently supported label mate H.Hawkline on a number of dates around the UK.

The band have finally announced a run of UK dates in the summer with King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard along with summer festivals.
