Jasper Steverlinck releases "The Healing"
After six years, one of Belgium's most cherished voices returns with his most personal work to date. Jasper Steverlinck's third solo album 'The Healing' will be released on January 31, 2025 via Sony Music Benelux and marks a significant turning point in his career.
The album, recorded in collaboration with Swiss producer Tom Oehler, contains thirteen new songs that provide an intimate look into Steverlinck's personal healing process over recent years. It's a journey through a period of self-reflection, growth, and ultimately liberation. From the honestly personal 'Nashville Tears' to the hopeful finale 'Till We Meet Again', the singer takes you through his inner world.
"This album was born out of necessity," says Steverlinck. "The songs are essentially thoughts sung aloud from a period when I first experienced anxiety attacks and deep self-reflection. Only when the songs were finished did I see the pattern - this was my healing process."
'The Healing' will be supported by an extensive tour of already 70 concerts, for which more than 25,000 tickets have been sold in Belgium alone.
For the live concerts of 'The Healing', Steverlinck opts for a radically new approach. While the 'Night Prayer' tour was characterized by intimacy, he now evolves towards a dynamic show that balances between intimate moments and grand, sweeping passages.
Inspired by the mesmerizing nature of Nick Cave's performances, he creates a concert that thrives on contrasts - between silence and explosion, between solo intimacy and orchestral power. For this, he assembles an eclectic band that includes, alongside his regular musical partner and master pianist Valentijn Elsen, carefully selected new musicians.
Using a loop station, Steverlinck adds an extra dimension, creating live multi-voice arrangements that underscore his vocal virtuosity.
"The Healing" is the follow-up to the gold-certified album "Night Prayer" from 2018, which was followed by a successful tour of more than 200 concerts for 70,000 spectators.

Jasper Steverlinck broke through in 1996 as the frontman of Ghent-based rock band Arid. After five albums, he began a successful solo career with albums 'Songs of Innocence' (2005) and the gold-certified 'Night Prayer' (2018). He was a coach on 'The Voice of Flanders' and will be seen in the new TV format 'Lift You Up' in 2025.
