J.I D new album ", DiCaprio 2." Released by Dreamville

East Atlanta rapper J.I.D has delivered his highly anticipated sophomore album, DiCaprio 2. Released by Dreamville/Interscope Records, DiCaprio 2 is available now via all digital retailers.

Made with producers like ChaseTheMoney, Nice Rec, Christo, and Wondagurl, DiCaprio 2 follows J.I.D’s 2017 debut album The Never Story — a critically acclaimed effort that landed at #9 on Rolling Stone’s “40 Best Rap Albums of 2017” list.

DiCaprio 2 includes J.I.D’s recent single “Off Deez,” featuring his Dreamville label head, J. Cole. The track earned praise from sites like UPROXX (who stated that “J.I.D switches flows like a superhero trading identities” and offers “a hyperspeed performance with a dizzying, elaborate cadence”) and XXL Mag (who noted that J.I.D “flaunts a rapid-fire flow as he lets loose deft rhyme schemes and tight wordplay”).

Earlier this fall, J.I.D shared DiCaprio 2’s lead single, “151 Rum,” which prompted Stereogum to hail him as “furiously, explosively talented.”

Born and raised in East Atlanta, J.I.D grew up on his parents’ collection of classic funk/soul LPs, and broke onto the scene with his 2015 EP, DiCaprio. The EP saw him collaborating with hip-hop duo EarthGang, whom he’d previously joined on a 2014 tour also including Bas and Ab-Soul. In 2016, J.I.D teamed up with his fellow members of Spillage Village — an Atlanta rap collective featuring EarthGang, Hollywood JB, and Jordxn Bryant — and delivered an EP titled Bears Like This Too Much. Soon after signing to Dreamville, J.I.D made his major-label debut with the widely celebrated The Never Story.
