Jungle By Night release new EP 'Tone Melisse'

Tone Melisse is Jungle By Night’s latest addition to their ever expanding catalogue and serves as a counterpart to their earlier released Club Paradiso. This time taking a step back to their roots with more traditional arrangements consisting of a more classic ‘’bass, guitar and drums’’ setup but never losing their experimental edge with mellow synthesisers and funky arrangements.

Recorded live, the band tried to catch the initial spark of a musical idea and then record it as quickly as possible to not lose it, so many of the songs started as jams and came together in the moment of the recording.

A lot of parts are improvised or thought up on the spot which gives a distinct and refreshing air of freedom and spontaneity and lets you float along with the ever changing tempo of the musical flow. Borrowing heavily from sounds of the early seventies, combined with their love for both old and contemporary ambient pieces.

Add a little early electronic music and swirling delays into the mix and you’ve got yourself a magic carpet ride through worlds of colours and musical textures.

Tone Melisse takes you on a journey, bringing a distinct feeling or ambience like a hot summers evening under a big red sun going down, until morning where a new dawn rises and dewdrops shine on the tall grass.
