Lady Reaper: reaveal new music video for Methastasis

Italian hard-rock act Lady Reaper has revealed a new video for their new single “Methastasis”.

The band says: "As you can imagine from the cover art (skilfully designed by Umberto Stagni) the single 'Methastasis' is a tribute to the TV series 'Breaking Bad'. The lyrics are inspired to the episode 1 of the 3rd season and they are about the bloody plans of vengeance made by the Mexican Cartel against the new trafficker who dared to challenge it. We turn into the 'Santa Muerte' and the song is nothing but the propitiatory ritual in favor of her by two merciless men of the Cartel. Will you get to find the hidden meaning in the lyrics through chemical symbols?".

Lady Reaper were born in Rome in 2011, in “the capital’s high schools” to be more specific. Five stubborn, tight 20 year-olds who wanted to deal with Heavy Metal. Since their early days, Lady Reaper were proud of their “non-genre”, of their belonging to music and not to a target nor a label. They were still in high school when they started getting their first gigs in and outside the capital. After their debut on the roman scene at the Metalmasacre, the real escalation of concerts begun: within less than a year, Lady Reaper found themselves sharing the stage with Axevyper, Rain, Tir, Pino Scotto and many other bands from around the city. The very first recordings of the band take place during the summer of 2013, with the collaboration of Silvio Benvenuto (working behind the mixer) and Fabio “Reeks” Recchia. As a result, the band’s first EP comes out with Sliptrick Record: “Northern Trilogy” – a viking epopee with epic themes. Within less than a year (2014) the EP was followed by the first full-length album, the self-titled “Lady Reaper” (with Sliptrick Records too), enthusiastically acclaimed by critics and public alike. The album can boast Umberto Stagni’s artwork (Pastavolante), by now a recurrent partner within the band’s projects. After the album’s promotion and the following live gigs to promote it, the Reapers not only obtained the title of “young promises of heavy metal”, but they shared the stage with the likes of Etrusgrave, Manilla Road, Grim Reaper, Demon and Gus G.
