Lil Tecca -'Ran$om': enters Top 10 on Billboard's Hot 100 and hits #6 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart

Lil Tecca earns his first top 10 hit on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart as “Ranom” ascends from 10 to 6 on the list dated Aug. 8.

Streams do much of the heavy lifting for the song on the chart, which combines U.S. sales, streams and radio airplay data. “Ranom” hikes 8-5 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs chart through 28.3 million U.S. streams in the week ending July 25, according to Nielsen Music, up 13% from the prior weekly tracking period. Currently it's sitting at the #3 spot. The boost in streams helps the song claim the chart’s weekly Greatest Gainer prize.

The song likewise shows gains in both sales and radio airplay. “Ranom” debuts on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales ranking with a No. 25 showing thanks to 2,000 downloads in the week ending July 25, a weekly boost of 17%. In the week of Aug. 10, the track climbs to #16. The video has racked up 72 million streams to date

Though “Ranom” has yet to dent the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, the single has gained strong traction at the Rhythmic radio format. The track jumps 30-23 in its third week on the Rhythmic Songs airplay chart, spurred by a 42% surge in plays in the week ending July 28, according to Nielsen Music. In the week ending on August 10, the song ascends to #19.

In addition to cracking the top-10 barrier on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, “Ranom” enters the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time with a 19-10 bump. The tune also rises 8-4 on the Hot Rap Songs chart, a new peak in its eight weeks on the survey.

Increased attention surrounding “Ranom” helps Lil Tecca attain a new best on the Billboard Artist 100 chart with a 72-44 rally. Elsewhere, the 16-year-old rapper claims his third week in the top five on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart, though he backtracks 3-5 on the latest ranking.

In Belgium his numbers are as impressive as in the States with a #15 on the Spotify Belgium Top 200 chart and a #6 on the Viral 50 chart.
